Tianlang Guan, from China, was the youngest golfer in any major tournament in 148 years and to ever make the cut in The Masters. He started playing golf at 4 years old.
He is playing in the Nine Dragons Open at the Ron Garl designed Nine Dragons Golf Club near Shanghai this week – November 10-14, 2014.
Guan qualified for The Masters by winning the Asia Pacific Amateur Championship in Thailand at Amata Springs Country Club in Chonburi, Thailand.
Guan Tianlang calls Lakewood Golf Club (which was totally renovated by Ron Garl) in New Orleans, his “home course” in America. He has honed his short game skills on the Garl designed Practice Facility at Lakewood Golf Club. Lakewood Golf Club was the host site for the 2012 U.S. Open Qualifier.
